WordPress 3.6 Is Here

The Latest Iteration of WordPress Has Outdone Every Previous Release Since 3.0

WordPress 3-6 Is Here

Most WordPress releases contain mediocre updates, security fixes and a few minor enhancements that are barely noticeable by most users.

There are two previous releases that defy this norm, and those are the 3.0 and 3.5 releases.

3.0 brought us Custom Post Types, which basically hands-down propelled WordPress into one of the most used CMS systems in the world.

3.5 Also upped the game with a new media uploader, an enhanced admin interface, and some nifty new development tools.

3.6, though, is taking things to a whole new level.

Including bullet-proof autosave and post locking, a revamped revision browser, native support for audio and video embeds, and improved integrations with Spotify, Rdio, and SoundCloud.

The default theme for WordPress 3.6 (TwentyThirteen) is also an amazing example of a highly-thought out, responsive theme tailored both to the developer of the site and its readers.
